Stop the tick from below!
Ticks come from below, and not from trees like so many people think.
The tick awareness week and the stop the tick campaign is active by means of Twitter and blogs and free Bugsox are distributed, to add information and give the campaign extra strength by clearly showing that the entrance for a tick is through your feet and ankles . The risk from tick bites is everywhere on grass, low thickets, in dunes and on the heath land. Tick prevention is needed especially in plants up to a meter high.
Danger from below
The stop the tick campaign has started to make people aware of the fact that ticks come from below and advises them of the dangers and risks associated with tick bites. Lyme disease is being diagnosed much more and the percentage of contaminated ticks with the borrelia bacterium, cause of Lyme, grows annually.
Tick bites can be avoided through simple prevention, of which Care Plus® Bugsox and Care Plus® DEET can play a vital part.
